Gold Jewelry (18k)
Left to its own devices, gold jewelry won't tarnish or corrode. You can wear it daily and even shower with it as it is waterproof. However, with regular wear, your gold jewelry will eventually accumulate a film of soap, body oils, and even grease.
To take proper care of it, its always best to store it carefully and regularly clean it to remove regular build up.
Sterling silver jewelry can be long-lasting, however when plated, it requires extra care - especially when rose gold plated. This is because silver jewelry, when exposed to chemicals and moisture, can oxidize (turn dull and get discolored - dark grey).
In order to prevent this, its best to avoid wearing your silver jewelry in the shower, when working out and anywhere that may cause moisture to tarnish it. Do not put any perfume or soap on it either. The best way to maintain its lustre and plating is to store it in the ziplock bag or pouch when you are not wearing it. Sometimes even keeping it out for long periods of time can tarnish it because of humidity.
The good news is that silver jewelry (not gold or rose gold plated) can easily be polished at home. There are many different techniques and methods used to polish. For a start, you can try using a microfiber cloth and gently rub the item until its silver shine comes back.
Some of our jewelry designs have acrylic components. These items can be fragile and require gentle care. Store them properly in a separate pouch or compartment to ensure they don’t break or get scratched. Also, avoid putting them in or around water and chemicals as their color may fade.
